About Radiation Special Interest Section
The Radiation Special Interest Section was created to foster knowledge of its members in the study of radiation toxicology through an exchange of ideas, resources and expertise. The Section is committed to enhance the role of toxicologists in preparedness and response to accidental or intentional radiologic incidents.
Our Section includes members from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Radiation Emergency Assistance Center and Training Site (REAC/TS), Advanced Hazmat Life Support (AHLS), the Radiation Injury Treatment Network (RITN), as well as many academic and practicing health care providers. Members will have opportunities to interact with others that are interested in radiation at bimonthly and in-person conference business meetings, help develop ideas and content for symposia and webinars that will be presented via AACT webinar and at NACCT, and write items for AACT Question of the Day.
Our members also have opportunities to participate in scholarly activities. See our recent review article in The Journal of Medical Toxicology!

We encourage anyone with an interest in radiation toxicology, at any level of training, to join our section.
